Hummel is a general practice architectural firm whose history touches nearly every idaho community and Northwestern state and includes many notable structures listed on the National Register of Historical Sites, such as the idaho state Capital Building. Established in Boise in 1896 as Tourtellotte and Hummel, the founding fathers of Hummel Architects were john E. Tourtellotte and Charles F Hummel. Over the decades, they have built a solid reputation on the design of educational institutional,fedral, corporate , military, and religious structures.
Today’s organisation serves clients with A 30 member team. They are licensed in washington , oregon, and idaho. The firm’s principals and Owners are Scott Straubhar,Greg Allen , and Ed Daniels, all of whom joined the company in the 1990’s Philosophically both Principals take a “hands on” approach to architecture. They are actively involved in all aspects of their clients projects.
