Peddle Thorp / Architects was established in Queensland in 1963, when the Peddle Thorp Partnerships (founded in Sydney in 1889) expanded into new markets. The company currently operates practices in Brisbane, Cairns, Jakarta, Gold Coast and Shanghai and has associate offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Port Moresby, Auckland, Wellington, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Ho Chi Minh City. The practice combines unique understanding of complex issues with innovative design solutions to achieve award winning projects of distinction.
Peddle Thorp through its national and international base brings significant cultural and technical experience and insight to the development of design solutions for local issues. The company has a skill base built upon a wide range of architectural, conservation, urban design and planning experience. Projects are as diverse as the master planning of a new city, a wide range of corporate and commercial office towers and institutions, hotels, retail complexes, art galleries, houses, sporting facilities, health care facilities as well as building and heritage studies.
